This page explains when the listing fee can and cannot be refunded. We show it to you before you pay, not after.
You are not charged until you choose to pay
Building your listing is free. You can stop at any point before the pay screen and nothing is charged. Read this page before you pay. If anything here is unclear, ask us first.
The $999 listing fee is not refundable
Once you pay, the fee is not refundable. Work starts right away: a licensed agent reviews your listing and prepares it for MLS. Please be sure before you pay.
If we do not list your home, you get your money back
This is the one exception. If a licensed agent never enters your home on MLS, we refund the full amount you paid, including GST. You are never charged for work we did not do.
The 1% option has nothing to refund
The 1% option, capped at $9,999, charges you nothing upfront. The fee comes out of your sale proceeds at closing. If your home does not sell, you pay nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
Buyer agent commission is separate
Buyer agent commission is paid to the buyer's agent, not to Ownext. It applies with both pricing options. We do not receive it and cannot refund it.
Questions about a charge
Contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank. We can usually explain or fix it faster. A signed listing agreement has its own terms, and that agreement controls if it conflicts with this page.
